本科毕业于南京大学 (1981-1985）， 博士毕业于麻省理工学院 (MIT)（1988-1992）。曾在美国国家海洋大气管理局（NOAA）及科罗拉多大学博尔德分校（CU Boulder）从事气候动力学的研究和教育工作。

Professor,Nanjing-Helsinki Institute in Atmospheric and Earth System Sciences.

Prof. Sun attended Nanjing University (1981-1985) for his B.S. and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1988-1992) for his Ph.D.  Before joining Nanjing University, Prof. Sun worked at several prominent institutes in climate science, including the U.S. National Center for Atmospheric Research, the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the University of Colorado Boulder.

Prof. Sun’s specialty is climate dynamics. He and his students are dedicated to deepening the understanding of the complex behaviors of the Earth’s climate system and contributing to a sustainable future.
