个人简介

教育部“新世纪优秀人才”（2006），教育部长江学者特聘教授（2014）、国务院政府特殊津贴（2014）、“百千万人才工程”国家级人选、国家有突出贡献中青年专家（2015）、国家哲学社会科学领军人才（2017）、中宣部文化名家暨“四个一批”人才（2017年）。教育部高等学校经济学类专业教学指导委员会委员（2018）。

本硕毕业于陕西师范大学（1987-1991，1994-1997），博士毕业于西北大学（1999-2002），南京大学理论经济学博士后（2003-2005）。曾先后任教于陕西师范大学、西北大学、西安财经大学。

主要研究方向为经济增长质量与高质量发展、数字经济、政治经济学和发展经济学。

Baoping REN is currently the Distinguished Professor of School of Digital Economics and Management, Nanjing University. He is also the “New Century Excellent Talent” of the Ministry of Education (2006), the Distinguished Professor of “Changjiang Scholars” of the Ministry of Education (2014), a recipient of Special Government Allowances of the State Council (2014), national candidate of the “Millions of Talents Projects” (2014), the “Young and Middle-aged Expert with outstanding national contributions” (2015), the Leading Talent in Philosophy and Social Sciences of the “National Project of Ten Thousand Talents” (2017), “Famous Cultural Master” of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the “Four Batches” Talent (2017), and a member of the National Administry Committee on Teaching Economics to Majors in Higher Education under the Ministry of Education (2018).

He graduated from Shaanxi Normal University with bachelor’s degree (1987-1991) and master’s degree (1994-1997), received his doctorate from Northwest University (1999-2002), and a postdoctoral researcher in theoretical economics at Nanjing University (2003-2005). He has successively taught at Shaanxi Normal University, Northwest University and Xi’an University of Finance and Economics.

Research fields: Economic growth and development, Digital Economics, Political economy, and Development Economics.
